Chaos at the Lake: At Least 10 Wounded in Mass Shooting at Oklahoma Party

EDMOND, Oklahoma — A popular lakeside gathering turned into a scene of terror late Sunday night when gunfire erupted at a campground near Lake Arcadia, leaving at least 12 people hospitalized in varying conditions.

The shooting occurred around 9:00 p.m. on May 3, 2026, during an event billed on social media as "Sunday Funday," which drew a large group of young people to the recreational area. Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Edmond Police Department and Oklahoma Highway Patrol, converged on the scene following a barrage of emergency calls.

Emergency responders confirmed that 10 victims were transported by ambulance to various metro hospitals, while several others drove themselves to emergency rooms in private vehicles. Integris Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City received nine of these patients, while an additional three were admitted for treatment at Integris Health Edmond Hospital.

As of Monday morning, authorities have not confirmed any fatalities, but victims are reported to be in "various conditions". Police noted that the number of injured could still rise as more individuals seek medical attention.

No arrests have been made, and the suspects remain at large. Investigators are currently fanning out across the metro area to interview witnesses and survivors.

"This is obviously a very terrifying situation," said Edmond Police spokesperson Emily Ward. "We understand the concern from the public and those involved, and we are working extremely hard to find the suspects". Despite the ongoing search, officials stated they do not believe there is an immediate, continuing threat to the general public.
