NABATIEH, Southern Lebanon — The Lebanese Army has confirmed that an Israeli airstrike in the city of Nabatieh killed one Lebanese soldier and wounded four others, as hostilities intensify along the Lebanese Israeli frontier.

According to an official army statement, the air attack targeted troops traveling by car and motorcycle in Nabatieh — a flashpoint in ongoing clashes between Israeli forces and various armed groups across southern Lebanon.

The injured soldiers were rushed to nearby medical facilities for treatment, with their conditions not immediately detailed by military authorities. The army’s announcement confirmed that the fatality occurred when one of the wounded later succumbed to his injuries.
