Norwegian police are currently probing an explosion that occurred near the Israeli embassy in central Oslo. The blast, which happened in close proximity to a university campus and about 500 meters from the royal palace, resulted in thick smoke and minor damage to area buildings.

Following the explosion, authorities dispatched emergency alerts to residents, warning them to avoid windows due to potential additional explosive devices in the vicinity. Police later confirmed the discovery of a military-style hand grenade at the site, prompting a controlled detonation.
