The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has issued a call for public assistance in locating Alejandro Jacomino Gonzalez, a truck driver who went missing in connection with the hijacking of a car hauler. Gonzalez was last seen on April 17, 2026, at a truck stop in Grant-Valkaria, Florida, along I-95.
According to authorities, Gonzalez had collected multiple vehicles from the Port of Brunswick in Georgia and was en route to drop them off in South Florida. He stopped for rest at approximately 1:20 a.m. and was tracked by GPS leaving the stop at 7:49 a.m. headed in the direction of Jacksonville. However, he has not been heard from since that time.
After a search, the truck was located in Port Wentworth, Georgia, but Gonzalez was missing. Alongside his disappearance, several vehicles from the hauler have also been reported missing. Three of those vehicles have since been found within Florida.
The FBI is particularly interested in tips from anyone who may have been at the rest stop in Brevard County from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. on April 17, especially those near the southern section of the rest area. Gonzalez is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds, with a full sleeve tattoo on his left arm and a tattoo on his lower right arm.
Anyone with information regarding Gonzalez or the incident is urged to call the FBI tip line at 1-800-225-5324.
