KHETA SARAI, UTTAR PRADESH – A celebratory wedding ceremony descended into chaos and grief when the groom was shot dead, allegedly by a relative of the bride who was vehemently opposed to the union. The brazen attack occurred in the Kheta Sarai police station area, leaving guests horrified and the local community in shock.

The incident took place during the height of the wedding festivities. As the groom and his party arrived for the ceremony, the suspect—identified as a close relative of the bride—approached the gathering. Witnesses describe a brief moment of tension followed by the sudden sound of gunfire that silenced the celebratory music.

The fatal attack was reportedly fueled by the suspect's long-standing grievances and vocal disapproval of the union in the weeks preceding the ceremony. During the festivities, the assailant drew a firearm and shot the groom at close range before anyone could intervene, sparking an immediate panic.
