The stunt resulted in the death of one teenager and a high-stakes rescue operation by the Indian Air Force (IAF) to save the two survivors.

The incident occurred late in the evening when the group scaled the structure to film a "reel" for social media. Eyewitnesses reported that one of the teenagers lost his footing and plunged from the top of the tank, dying instantly upon impact.
