On April 30, 2026, the Israeli Ministry of Defense announced the arrival of 6,500 tons of munitions and military equipment from the United States, marking a significant resupply operation. This logistical effort involved two cargo ships that docked at the ports of Ashdod and Haifa, delivering a range of supplies including thousands of air and ground munitions, military trucks, and Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs).

The operation was coordinated by the Ministry’s Defense Procurement Directorate in collaboration with their International Shipping Division and the IDF Planning Directorate. Upon arrival, the equipment was transferred onto hundreds of trucks from various military logistics departments and dispatched to bases throughout Israel.

Defense Minister Israel Katz highlighted that this extensive air and sea logistics operation aims to strengthen the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) capabilities significantly. "The goal is to ensure that the IDF has all necessary means to operate at full strength against our enemies, anytime and anyplace required," he stated.

Since the commencement of Operation Roaring Lion on February 28, 2026, Israel has reportedly received over 115,600 tons of military equipment through 403 airlifts and 10 sea shipments.
